Attacking Focus: Beating Players & Creating Chances

Dribbling & 1v1 Elimination: Technical footwork, step-overs, and speed bursts to beat a single defender and create dynamic space.

Creating Passing Angles (2v2): Off-the-ball movement, overlap/underlap runs, and positioning to create 2v1 overloads against defenders.

Decision Making under Pressure: Recognizing when to drive directly at a defender, pass to an open teammate, or reset play.

Body Shape & Receiving: Opening the body on the first touch to attack space quickly before the defense can recover.

Deception & Change of Pace: Using body feints and sudden changes of speed to throw defenders off balance in high-pressure zones.

Defending Focus: Delaying, Winning the Ball & Co-Operation

1v1 Body Stance: Lowering the center of gravity, staying on toes, and delaying the attacker without diving in prematurely.

Steering & Isolation: Angling the body to force the ball-handler toward weak feet or out toward the touchline away from central goal threats.

Press & Cover (2v2 Dynamic): Establishing immediate pressure on the ball-handler while the second defender drops into a cover angle.

Timing the Tackle: Executing block tackles and poke tackles at the precise moment the attacker loses full control of the ball.
