SJEB FC COLONIAL JUNIOR ACADEMY

We are pleased to offer FREE training for girls and boys as an introduction to our club. The 25/26 season Junior Academy is for players born in 2017 (U9) 2018 (U8), 2019 (U7).

During training sessions, players learn ball mastery, turns, and one-on-one moves, then participate in small-sided one-on-one and two-on-two games to practice applying them on the field. Fewer players in these games ensure that each player gets more touches on the ball and plays a more significant role. Coaches follow a curriculum that allows players to learn new skills each week. In small-sided games, coaching is limited players are encouraged to experiment, try new things, and see what works for them.

There are no referees, and players keep score (or not), focusing on trying new skills rather than winning. Additionally, parents and supporters are asked to stay 50 yards away from training to create a less spectator-oriented environment.

Spread The Word
The program is affordable and open to any player in the South Jersey area; the more players, the better the games and training sessions will be. Please spread the word in your community to friends, family, neighbors, school friends, and church groups. Bring along any player who enjoys playing soccer.

7v7 Teams at U8 & U9
The purpose of our Junior Academy is to gather a large pool of players from which we can evaluate those who attend and form our U8 teams for the first year of 7v7 play.
